Several people had already seen this image before me and considered it a sign or a prophetic word. Continue reading

Life & Death

Taking a little departure from my “Waiting for the Sonrise” series, to put forth a few things that I was thinking about as I drove to the grocery store today.

We all know that Life and death are powerful forces of the earth. And that death must continue to the end until Jesus brings a close to it once and for all.

No matter how badly people or things destroy the earth, life always comes back. It always persists, always endures. Even in the worst places on earth, eventually, life slowly returns. Even on this diet my wife and I are a part of, once you remove the bad and feed yourself the right stuff. Your body starts to correct itself. Continue reading

Paper Tigers

Paper Tiger is defined as “one that is outwardly powerful or dangerous, but inwardly weak or ineffectual.”

Blog warning: I am going to get blunt! If you don’t like blunt, then don’t read this. Yes!, this is a rant.

In my last thirty, some odd years of Christianity one of my biggest pet peeves that have always motivated me were Status Quo. I first ran into it in the very first church I was in. After six months of a traditional Baptist church, I was more than ready to move on. Far as I could tell I had made a wrong turn and this church thing was a walking joke, social club of words and good intent. Continue reading

In the Whirlwind

A former Pastor of mine in the 1980’s wrote the following in his resignation letter:

“I am giving my resignation letter now as I have seen what happens to a congregation when a pastor outstays his commission.”

My point in bringing this up is when the Lord has lifted His grace for you at your current assignment, it’s time to move on. Staying beyond your appointed time only increases the difficulty afterward. Many people stay longer than needed for a variety of personal reasons, but in the end, these human miscalculations only come at a high cost. Continue reading

Waiting for the Sonrise, part two

Sonrisepart 2

In the past blogs, I have not really dived into the “nut & bolts” of the Carnivore diet. In truth, this diet is not really a diet, but its part detox and part a way of life. As we transition into the latter half of our second month of this all meat diet. We now have noticed not only the continual slow and steady weight loss but we are also seeing the larger health benefits.

To date, both my wife and I are reducing our home regiment of supplements as our health becomes more inline. I am down to about one-third of what I once took to manage my Thyroid and my wife’s high blood pressure is steadily falling in line with acceptable numbers. Continue reading

Waiting for the Sonrise, part one

Sonrise dog

As stated in my previous post, “Ink on the page” this is an introductory part of a going series. The quote I used blog post is to me the most on target. It came from the first Lord of the Rings movie when Galadriel was speaking at the intro to the movie.

“The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Much that once was is lost; for none now live who remember it.“

Much of the Rings movies is extremely symbolic of the age we now find ourselves in. Many of the now famous quotes like Gandalf speaking to Frodo is oddly the question that will face most of the church during this age as we gear up for our own personal and corporate last battles

“I wish it need not have happened in my time said Frodo, ‘So do I,’ Said Gandalf, “and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”

So, do you feel the change? Do you watch the world around you and feel somewhere deep down within you a change has taken place that has a hard time describing?

Many do and are starting to speak up about it.

An even larger group, I think feel the same but have said nothing for there own personal fears of being correct. As I said before, there is a universal SOS or wake up call that even the non-Christians are now hearing.

And that is the point of the next several blog posts. I am hoping to display some “things” that do not fit within the narrative our world is teaching. All in the hope of a few people waking up from the dangerous slumber we now find ourselves in.

This first post is a sampling of some of the issues that I will try diving deeper into. So hopefully this will cause you to ponder and reflect as I slowly hack away at some of the foundations of illegitimate wisdom in our world.
